The scent of hamburgers filled the air at Tepes Park in Jefferson Hills, where CrossRoads Community Church hosted their 4th Annual Best in Burgher Cook-Off. Brad Ebert won first place in the cook-off with his Bacon Feta Burger.

The Top O' the Mornin' Donut Shop in Elizabeth Borough is sponsoring Ebert's prize cheeseburger. For the month of November, the Bacon Feta Burger will be on their menu for all to enjoy!

There was a new component to this year's cook-off. It was the "Mystery Burger Competition." Several cooks prepared mystery burgers and the guests were invited to try them and guess what the meat was. This year the mystery burgers were: bison, elk, wagu beef, and camel.

Overall, the event was a huge success. "Next year, we are looking at inviting even more congregations to participate," expressed Pastor Floyd Hughes. He is also looking for a group that does demonstrations with medieval weapons to come for entertainment. Those who are interested in entertaining the crowd at next year's cook-off are encouraged to contact Pastor Hughes at 412-384-9278.
