More than 450 walkers helped paint the Valley pink during the 11th Annual MVH/Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk on October 11 in Charleroi.

The event raised more than $21,100 to support the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer in our community at MVH.
Walkers were asked to make a minimum donation of $10 each to participate and many collected donations from family, friends and neighbors. Breast cancer survivors were honored before the walk began with a group photo and a celebratory wave of Pink Power Towels.
A moment of silence was also observed to remember those affected by breast cancer and those who are no longer with us.
