CentiMark Corporation has challenged the residents and businesses in Washington County with a matching grant of up to $50,000 to the Greater Washington County Food Bank for donations received by Friday, November 21, 2014.

The Greater Washington County Food Bank expects to serve over 5,200 families each month during the upcoming holiday season and could certainly use the additional funds. Connie Burd, Executive Director of the Food Bank, stated, "With the state of the economy, times have been tough lately for the Food Bank." She notes that of those served on a regular basis, 30% are children and 20% are seniors. Burd continued, "Receiving a challenge grant like this one from CentiMark is a Godsend, and I'm confident that the good people of our community will step up and take the challenge. With our purchasing power, that much money can go a long way here."
