The Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Mary Ellen O'Neill Division #4 was held on Saturday, September 6 at the Mon Valley Country Club.

Not pictured: Mary Rosick, Treasurer.

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians was organized to protect young immigrant Irish girls coming to the United States, to assist them in securing positions, as well as assist the Ancient Order of Hibernians in all of its efforts to perpetuate the memory of our ancestors, to aid the sick and needy, and to defend our church and country.

Mary Ellen O'Neill of North Charleroi had a vision and understanding of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and worked to organize Division #4. On August 2, 1984, Mary Ellen O'Neill's vision became a reality in the former St. Jerome Lyceum where Mary Margaret Kuzeppa, former State Vice President and a member of the now-disbanded Donora LAOH, Division #3, along with officers Alice Grimes, Mary McKee, Frances Smith and Adelaide Lynch formed Division #4, Charleroi, PA.
