A fall festival was held at Monessen Walking Track on October 25 from 5 - 8 p.m. Coordinated by the amphitheater committee, secretary Karla Spangler mainly put it together, according to Committee President Matthew Shorraw. Vice president Jacquelyn Pierce did most of the costume judging.

The event included a doggie parade and children's costume contest. Although there were some tears and barking, the windy night went surprisingly well.
Children were judged by age category, and dogs were judged in first - third place. There were also raffle contests, food, and baked goods. From 7- 8 p.m., people who had decorated their car trunks participated in "trunk or treat," passing out candy from their cars. At 8 p.m., a movie, "Hocus Pocus," was shown at the amphitheater.
The evening turned out to be a fun event, and a doggone good one!
