The Borough of Jefferson Hills will kick off the holiday season with a celebration at the Municipal Center on Monday, December 1 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event includes free photos with Santa; storytime with Mrs. Claus; holiday decorations and trees through the Municipal Center; and refreshments and children's crafts will highlight the event. The Thomas Jefferson High School orchestra will perform and the TJ Jaguar will make a guest appearance.
Adults are invited to a New Year's Eve Party at the Floreffe Volunteer Fire Company, 1540 State Street, Jefferson Hills, PA on December 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cost is $25 per person or $45 per couple. Food, beer and mixers are provided. Call 412-384-9644 for more information or tickets.
Mayor Janice Cmar and the Borough of Jefferson Hills Police Department will collect toys for local needy children from December 1 through December 15 at the Jefferson Hills Municipal Center first floor next to the police department. Local families in need of this assistance may pick up an application at the police sation weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The South Hills Art League will hold an exhibit of paintings at the Borough of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center, second floor living room area, during regular library hours from December 9 - January 6.
The Friends of Jefferson Hills Library will sponsor a Holiday fresh cookie sale on Sunday, December 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Municipal Center Community Room.
Della Robbia Flowers invites area adults to craft a fresh floral/pine centerpiece at the Municipal Center Community Room on Monday, December 22 from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Cost is $50. Register at the library at 412-655-7741.

Tweens and Teens will craft Holiday Cards for Soldiers on December 17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
