Elizabeth Borough celebrated National Hot Dog Day at the Elizabeth Auto Care with a Hot Dog for a Police Dog Event.

HDD3
Heroes of Elizabeth Borough - Officer Garrett Kimmell and K9 Ryker.

Families gathered to meet Officer Garrett Kimmell's new K9 dog, Ryker. The event included free hot dogs, snacks, and drinks! Kona Ice scooped up snow cones that included every flavor imaginable – even wedding cake!

Several items were raffled off, including a large cookie tray donated by Barton's Bake Shop, a car wash bucket donated by NAPA Auto Parts in White Oak, a tabletop grill donated by Valvoline, and a jumper pack donated by Elizabeth Auto Care. The McKeesport Candy Company (CandyFavorites.com) included a candy jar and sweets certificate for the raffle.

All proceeds raised from the ‘Hot Dog for a Police Dog’ event were given to the Elizabeth Borough Police to cover the costs of K9 Ryker. Taking things one step further, Elizabeth Auto Care matched all of the money raised from the day's event.
