Fourth Annual Dog Swim
Bring the whole family to the 4th Annual Dog Swim on September 7th, 5 -8 p.m., Mineral Beach, 6229 State Rt. 88, Finleyville. Thanks to Mineral Beach for hosting WAHS again this year for one last summer splash! Social dogs of all sizes, ages and breed are welcome, and try your luck on awesome raffle baskets. Snack bar will be open. All proceeds benefit the homeless dogs and cats at WAHS.

2nd Annual Paws & Purrs 5K Run & Fun Walk
Join us for our timed 5K run and fun walk at Mingo Creek County Park, Shelter 4, 232 Mingo Creek Rd., Eighty Four, to benefit the homeless dogs and cats of Washington County! Social animals of all ages, breeds and sizes are welcome for the event on Sunday, September 13. Run begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.

There will be vendors, a masseuse from the Wellness Chiropractic Center, a costume contest, games for the whole family, raffle baskets and more!

Registration: $25 for 5K Run, $20 for Fun Walk. All participants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag. Register online at active.com and search for “Paws & Purrs 5K Run & Fun Walk.” For more information, interest in a sponsorship or to become a vendor, contact the shelter and ask for Lynette.
