Mark your calendars – Friends of South Park Library is now preparing for their upcoming Annual Fall Book Sale at the South Park Township Community Center Thursday, October 15 from 6 – 8 p.m.; Friday, October 16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 17, the ever-popular “$5-A-Bag-Day” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with “Friends” supplying the bag for your choice of anything at the sale – a terrific bargain for all your winter reading. .

Your donations are always appreciated and as final plans are being made, we’re asking everyone for their help in collecting books and miscellaneous items to achieve another successful event.

Items include all books, old records, albums, books on tape, audio music tapes, CDs, DVDs, video tapes, video games, Blue Ray, any audio/video material, computer and electronic games and programs, games, puzzles, toys and stuffed animals. Games, puzzles and toys should contain all parts and pieces and placed in taped up boxes.

Donations can be brought to the library lobby and until that time Friends appreciate your keeping all donations boxed and in a clean dry area so they will be in good saleable condition.

We do not accept small Reader’s Digests, National Geographics, jewelry or flea market/garage sale items. Computer books, programs, discs, business or tax publications, manuals and directories should be no older than one year. Encyclopedia sets, no matter what the age are no longer accepted for sales. These items can be recycled from your home on recyclable days or dropped off at your local recyclable bins.

This sale will be a great opportunity to renew your membership. If you’re not already a member, it’s a great time to join “Friends.” All proceeds benefit the South Park Township Library. For further information on Friends, please visit their web site at www.southparklibrary.org/spfriends.htm.
