Online Voter Registration Now Available

The League of Women Voters of Washington County alerts all voters that the Pennsylvania Municipal Election is Tuesday, November 3.  

On the ballot for this election are state judicial candidates for the Supreme Court, Superior Court, and Commonwealth Court, candidates for some local magisterial district justice positions, the Washington County offices of commissioner, district attorney, prothonotary, county treasurer, register of wills, clerk of courts, and coroner, and many local government and school director positions.  There will also be a special election for the 37th PA State Senate seat and retention elections for Washington County Common Pleas Judges Richard DiSalle and Katherine Emery.

The last day for citizens to register to vote in this election is Monday, October 5.  Pennsylvania has just made it possible to register online.  Clear directions and the application are provided on the Pennsylvania Department of State website register.voterspa.com.

The League of Women Voters of Washington County is preparing its nonpartisan Voters Guide for the Municipal Election.  The guide will be available in Washington County papers the week of October 21 and will include information directly from candidates.  The guide will also be on line at http://washingtoncounty.palwv.org for voters to check at their convenience.
