Peters Township Parks and Recreation Center is located at 700 Meredith Drive, Venetia, and can be reached at 724-942-5000.
Registration is currently open for classes. Classes for Peters Township Recreation Center run November 5 - December 19 classes (6 weeks in length) and can be viewed at www. peterstownship.com on the ‘Parks and Recreation’ webpage and in the INPeters magazine.
We will be offering classes from preschool to seniors exercise and youth art classes, with a few examples listed below.
Silly Science I
(Ages 2 – 6)
Each little scientist is active with creating, playing, and learning different concepts in Science. This camp will include: Going to the Moon, Goo Slime Bugs, Magical Science, Spy Science, and Dinosaur Days.
Day: Tuesday
Time: 1 – 2 p.m.
Fee: $70 Member / $ 105 Non-Member
Supply Fee: $25 to be paid to the instructor the first day of class
Learn To Draw With Linda!
(Ages 4 – 7)
Learn simple and easy techniques using color pencils to create 6 masterpieces!
Supplies included and yours to keep. Always new and always fun. Instructor: Linda VanNewkirk
Day: Wednesday
Time: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Fee: $75 Member / $105 Non-Member
EXPLORING Engineering
(Ages 8 – 12)
Students will design and build unique machines, objects to successfully complete a structured engineering challenge. Applying principles of Science and Math to complete designs and build new technologies. Understand and explain the steps involved in the engineering design process. Instructors: Engineering for Kids.
Day: Friday, November 6 - December 18 (No Class on November 27)
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Fee: $175 Member / $263 Non-Member (Includes pizza and drinks)
Painting with a Twist
(Ages 7 - 15)
Come and relax while our artists walk you through creating a masterpiece of your very own! You will have a blast while letting your creative juices flow! Two classes available each month of Nov. and Dec.! No walk-ins. Must make reservation.
Day: Saturday, November 28th
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Fee: $25 Member / $38 Non-Member
Painting with a Twist
(Ages 16 +)

Insanity – 30 minutes
(AGES 18+)
Insanity is a high intensity cardio program that incorporates indoor sports conditioning drills with high energy music to not only tone and define your entire body, but makes you have fun and enjoy it! Modifications for ALL fitness levels Certified Instructor: Jessica Berardino.
