The current exhibit at the Museum showcases the riverboats that once traveled on the three rivers in Southwestern Pennsylvania. See photos and memorabilia that was saved when the old steamboats were dismantled. The Museum is open Wednesday - Saturday from 10 a. m.  – 3 p. m.

During the holiday season, do your gift shopping at the Museum Shoppe. There is a wide variety of nationality cookbooks and local history materials available. Three new cookbooks have just been added to the store. Postcards can be obtained to send in Christmas cards. Monessen-themed throws make excellent gifts.

Please consider donating any antique Christmas items for use in the front display windows during the Christmas season.

The annual fund campaign and membership renewal is underway. Single memberships are $15 per year with family memberships priced at $20. A business membership is $50. Membership is based on a calendar year and includes four issues of the “Valley Historian” newsletter. Fund drive donations are used to operate the museum and plan future projects.

The annual Holiday Open House will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 12-3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
