The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF)’s Building Charitable Capacity Learning Institute will host a Fundraising 101 workshop on Thursday, March 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Samuel T. Brownlee House, 1253 Route 519, Eighty Four, PA.

The workshop, designed for executive staff and charity board members, will cover fundraising basics including: annual appeal, solicitation letters, online grant applications, event fundraising, and days of giving.

The presenter will be Michael Grzesiak, Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations at Washington & Jefferson College. Previously, Mr. Grzesiak served as a Gift Planning Officer at both the Cleveland Foundation and Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) Foundation. He holds a B.A. in English from Hiram College and M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.

There is no cost to attend the workshop, but registration is required as space is limited. The online registration form is available on the “Events” section of www.wccf.net.

The Building Charitable Capacity Learning Institute, an initiative of the WCCF, is a continual series of training sessions designed to assist local charities in meeting the charitable sector’s highest level of standards, accountability, and transparency.
