On March 20th at 2 p.m., a benefit band concert will be presented at Ringgold Middle School in Finleyville, PA. Funds raised will benefit area libraries.

The Greater Monongahela Area Community Band will perform a program that includes a wide variety of concert band music styles. There will be marches, Broadway show tunes, and “serious” selections from the traditional concert band repertoire.

The printed program will include a challenge for those attending the concert. In place of the traditional listing of music selections the band will perform, the program will have Dewey categories. The audience will be faced with the decision: “Which title does the number represent?” The band hopes this unique format will add to the enjoyment of those in attendance.

Tickets to the concert are $5 and will be available at the door.
