New Programs, Online Registration Available For 2016

The summer may be months away, but it’s time to start thinking about summer fun for young scientists. Carnegie Science Center summer camp registration is now open, and reservations are being accepted for dozens of programs for children ages 4 and up.

Campers can get ready to explore the science of video games, crack secret cases, and discover the binary brilliance of robots! Little Einsteins will love specially programmed half-day adventures, and older kids will enjoy full-day science experiences.

NEW THIS YEAR! Families can now register online for camp programs. Visit CarnegieScienceCenter.org/SummerCamps and click on the registration link to get started.
Along with old favorites, such as Kennywood Camp and Explore Pittsburgh, a number of adventurous new programs will take campers out of the building for enriching experiences. Carnegie Science Center’s Fab Lab is debuting camps that will offer an exploration of the maker movement with laser cutters and 3D printers.

Camp programs include: half-day camps for ages 4-5; half-day camps for ages 6-7;

full-day camps for ages 6-7; full-day camps for ages 8-9, full-day camps for ages 10-11; and full-day camps for ages 12 – 14.

The Science Center’s summer camp programs are very popular and fill up quickly, so parents should register their children today online or by calling 412-237-1637. Descriptions, pricing, and additional information is available online.
