The April meeting of the CWCC focused on the presentation of a scholarship to a deserving Catholic girl attending a Mon Valley school and affiliated with a local parish.

This year’s recipient is Elizabeth LaCarte from Mary, Mother of the Church parish in Charleroi. She is a senior at Charleroi Area High School, where she is involved in many different activities. She maintains a 4.8 GPA and has her own child care services. She will attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to major in elementary education. She is pictured here with her parents, Mike and Susan LaCarte, of Charleroi.
