“FRIENDS” TO HAVE VARIOUS FUNDRAISERS FOR SOUTH PARK LIBRARY EXPANSION FUND

The “Friends of South Park Library are selling Sarris candy bars to help raise funds for the South Park Library expansion.  They have 7 different types of candy bars to purchase for $2.  If any candy is left, they will be sold at the book sale, which is coming up on April 18.  Their book sale is aways a big fundraiser.  They hold two book sales a year.  One in spring and one in fall.  This year, the April sale will have an extra special feature besides Sarris candy and their Walt Disney Lithographs. Election Day Spaghetti Dinner at Mingo Presbyterian Church

A "Take Out Only" Election Day Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 23, at Mingo Presbyterian Church from 12:00 noon to 6:00PM.  Dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, Italian bread and dessert.  All dinners are $12. You may call ahead to order the day of the dinner at 724-348-5278. Containers are provided.  Mingo Presbyterian Church is located at 561 Mingo Church Road and Rt 88 in Finleyville.

Peters Creek Historical Society Program to Discuss Local Mine Disaster

Gift Basket Event in Brownsville Set for April 13

A Gift Basket fundraising event to benefit the Bentleyville Lions Club will be held on Saturday, April 13 at Hugo's Restaurant, located at 687 National Pike W., in Brownsville, PA.  Doors will open at 11:00AM.    There will be over 100 baskets, as well as games of chance, a 50/50 and D.J.
