Representatives from New Eagle Community Action Group attended the October 3 New Eagle Borough Meeting to remind residents that they are hosting a Harvest Bonfire on Saturday, November 4 from 5 – 9 p.m. at Tubby Hall Park, with a $1 admission. Food will be available for purchase, and fun events are planned for children.
In other business:
• Council responded to resident Russ Moskal’s questions about procedures for approval of property subdivisions. Council explained that residents should first have their surveyor draw up plans, have Washington County Planning Commission approve the plans, and the Board can then give approval.
• The borough issued 15-20 junk vehicle citations and several high grass citations in September.
• Council voted to sell the borough’s old tractor for $1,000 to a resident who inquired about purchasing it.
