The South Park Board of Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on August 10 at 7 p.m.

The supervisors revisited the process regarding the public nuisance, located at 1797 Cedaridge Dr. The company that will be restoring the building, N&B Management Company, sent a representative to speak to the supervisors regarding a tentative renovation date. The representative of the company stated he was uncertain of an exact date. Unsatisfied with N&B’s plans, the supervisors responded. Supervisor, Ed Snee, argued that there was a 90 day stipulation for the restoration process and the property had only been cleaned up, following the house being declared a public nuisance in May. Nothing further has been done to the structure.

“Other than that it basically hasn’t been touched in two months,” Snee said.

The Board decided that N&B Management should be given a 14-day notice to initiate repairs.

The Township has decided on a company to paint the exterior of the Municipal building. Saint’s Painting Company was chosen and will paint the building for $47,848.
Ordinance No. 675 was updated in regards to municipal lien letters.

As winter weather gets closer, South Park is looking to purchase rock salt. The Township accepted a bid from Cargill Inc. for the purchase of rock salt, in bulk delivery, in the amount of $69.29 per ton.

There was a motion to ratify the agreement by and between Tri-Community South Emergency Medical Services System and the Fraternal Association of Professional Paramedics Local No. 8, which provides for the employment terms and conditions related to the applicable employees of the ambulance service, which is jointly owned by the Municipality of Bethel Park, South Park Township, and Upper St. Clair Township.

There were several training requests approved for six of South Park’s police officers.

A maintenance bond was released for the project identified as the Bonnie Dell Plan, Phase 2, in the amount of $91,551.

The Township agreed on a bond reduction for the project known as Saddlebrook Farms, Phase 4. The developer, Tom Colella of Brian Homes, requested to reduce the letter of credit by $225,517.76. The original amount was $238,567.76 and the amount after the reduction is now $13,050.
