At a recent Elizabeth Township Council meeting, Code Enforcement announced they have completed all demos but say there are still a few that need touched up. Harry Faulk set up a meeting with Grey Management.

Parks and Recreation has booked K-LOVE Christian Radio for one week in May 2016 at the Community Center. Commissioner Bryce stated that the township is allowed to use the bond that was originally for the Chapel Drive project for the Dek Hockey project instead so they will moving forward with that as soon as possible.

The Road Department is working on Jacktown Road before it gets any worse. The department will also have an 811 training event, which a couple employees will attend. Bryce asked about the detour for Renzie Road. The county road used for detouring is not equipped to hold excessive traffic. Castine says there are signs that are not properly placed and that the township will notify them. Due to time constraints, the township can only pave Fleming Drive this year. Shields, Scenery, and Sherwick will need to wait until a later date. Patterson Bridge should be fully completed by the end of October. Country Club Drive and all its catch basins will be inspected once the work is completed.

Police had 473 events logged by the Allegheny County 911 including 7 adult arrests, 1 juvenile arrest, 3 traffic citations, and 8 motor vehicle accidents, 5 of which were reportable and 3 non-reportable, while 5 injuries were noted.

The following motions were handled during the meeting:
• The motion to promote Officer Jason Shallenburger to Class B Patrolman was passed.
• The motion to approve Ackenheil Engineers invoice for concrete lab testing on the Patterson Bridge project in the amount of $742.10 has been passed.
• The motion to appoint John Snelson as deputy to the emergency management coordinator has been passed.
• The motion to waive the permit fee of $200 for the Animal Expo hosted by Robin Gaydos-Behanna is pending. President Francesconi states that she is not a non-profit organization and that the fee has only been waived for non-profit organizations.
• The motion to accept the proposal for professional Engineering Services of KLH for the design, bidding, and construction phase service for the Chapel Drive Recreation Complex of $40,000 was changed to pending and all approved.
• The motion to waive the permit fee for the demonstrative firearms needed to shoot off the gun, which is a black powder weapon, at the Log Cabin event in Greenock by the Historical Society was passed.

Citizen Mr. Burak, on behalf of John Whitacre, wanted to know if anything has been done with Tripoli property. Racunas stated yes and that they are in the process of reviewing the development contract. A number of people have been spoken to and it is moving forward. Mr. Burak also had a concern about a separate segment involving the budgeting about the sanitation with the bonds that the township actually holds for the sanitation department. Racunas stated that he has been in communication with Mr. Cambest, and it is still in discussion.
