Building on 46 years and a tradition that goes back to ancient times, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Mount Lebanon is excited to announce the 2018 Greek Food Festival.

Greek 2 June 18
Greek Specialties - ready here or for take-out.

One of the great Greek food festivals of Pittsburgh, the festival evokes the sights, sounds and tastes that define the traditional Greek way of life with hand-prepared Greek delicacies, live music and traditional folk dancing, and shopping in our marketplace.

This year’s festival will be June 12-15, from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Located at in the heart of the South Hills, our festival and beautiful Byzantine-style church are located at 123 Gilkeson Road in Mount Lebanon, across the street from the Galleria shopping mall. For almost half a century, the Greek food festival has shared the traditional Greek way of life while providing an important fundraiser for our church. Free to the public, we invite everyone to share in our culture and religion, with free tours of our church hourly during the festival. Parking is free at the church, or park at the Galleria and take our free shuttle.

Our outside tent area features gyros, savory lamb souvlaki, fried loukoumades, pastries, and drinks at the Taverna. Inside, you'll find Greek delicacies such as oregano chicken, pasticcio, moussaka, our famous lamb shank, tiropita, spanakopita, stuffed grape leaves, and so much more. Listen to the distinctive sounds of the bouzouki and other exotic instruments played by authentic Greek musicians, and delight in the beauty of traditional folk dancing by performers in elaborate costumes. Shop in the Greek marketplace, grab a drink at the tavern, and enjoy homemade pastries like baklava, diples, finikia, and kataifi, as well as the return of baklava sundaes. We offer eat-in and take-out service, or if you are in a hurry, take some of Greece home for dinner with our improved online ordering system – order and pay online, then just drive through to pick up your order!
