The crowds turned out for the St. Sebastian church fundraiser, craft, and vendor expo on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The event was held at the church social hall, 801 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon.

Pat Toth, left, and Kathleen Rygiel, beside her, deserve credit for the great St. Sebastian Expo on May 5.

This was the third year for the event and featured unique finds—everything from handmade crafts to one-of-a-kind jewelry and clothing. It truly was a shop ‘til you drop experience.

Kathleen Rygiel, on church council, organized the expo, along with Pat Toth, who also helped out with the Chinese auction. Rygiel said, “We have wonderful vendors and crafters—so much nice stuff here. I’m hoping for a big turnout. Last year everyone was pleased.”

Vendors available to make the day great included: Origami Owl; Avon; Plum Run Winery; Pampered Chef; Stampin Up; and jewelry vendors, including The Charm Bar and Paparazzi. There was a fantastic Chinese auction as well. Food served from the back kitchen included pizza, kielbasa, hot dogs, pop, and free donuts and coffee.
Rygiel noted, “I’ve had a lot of compliments so far from the vendors on how many people have been here. There’s a great variety [of vendors], too.”

Mary Ann Cialone, kitchen worker and church parishioner, added, “Hopefully we’ll be as busy today as we were last year. It’s a beautiful day, and a lot of people are out.”

A good time was had by all, and the church received the success for which they had been praying!
