Although the weather wasn't ideal, on Monday, October 30, roughly 200 students from the Greenock Elementary boarded the buses for their annual trip to Triple B Farms pumpkin patch.

Students from Mrs. Huwalt's second grade class enjoy the bumpy hayride around the farm.

Upon arrival to the farm, they were greeted with a day’s worth of activities. The students participated in corn mazes, the 'Squirrel Hill Tunnel' slide, haystack climbing, water pump ducky races, photo opportunities on a real tractor, a play area with tractor wheels for climbing, seeing the farmyard animals, and a hayride around the farm.
In addition to the scheduled activities, they also had a lesson on how a pumpkin grows, the importance of bees and their roles in the hive, and how most things come from a farm. This information was given by a longtime staff member inside the learning barn. At the end of the crisp fall day, each child got to choose a pumpkin to take home as a souvenir from the farm.
