The Big Jag Little Cub Club of Thomas Jefferson High School held a meet-n-greet event in the high school gymnasium for all of the second grade classrooms in the district.

The high school students and second graders have been exchanging hand-written letters all year and were extremely excited to finally meet.

Members of the Big Jag Little Cub Club organized an Earth Day theme with lots of STEM activities for the second graders, including decorating their own goodie bags, making a garden-in-a-glove, and solving a code wall mural.

The high schoolers held up signs with their “Little Cub” names so the second graders could locate them as they entered the gym. Each elementary school was assigned a different morning session to accommodate all of the students. It was a wonderful morning of friendship, fun and unity.

The Big Jag Little Cub Club at the high school is comprised of approximately 150 members and is modeled after the Big Brother, Big Sister Organization. The Big Jag Little Cub Club works with the elementary schools to provide positive role models and foster peer development by connecting with students across the community.
