The holidays just got a lot sweeter for area Meals on Wheels recipients!
Mrs. McCauley’s students |
Pleasant Hills Middle School Family Consumer Science Teacher Mrs. McCauley and a few of her students donated their time and talents to baking cookies for LifeSpan’s “Sweet Holiday Wishes” Cookie Campaign.
Mrs. McCauley’s students baked 12 dozen chocolate chip cookies and enlisted additional students and staff to bake cookies to help brighten the holidays for senior community members. Representatives from LifeSpan visited the middle school on December 13, 2018 to pick up the cookie donations and present the students with a special certificate of appreciation. LifeSpan, which provides much-needed resources and services for seniors, will distribute a half dozen cookies to each senior with their Meals on Wheels delivery.
Heartfelt thanks go to Mrs. McCauley and all of the middle school bakers for providing over 22 dozen cookies to Meals on Wheels recipients!
