School News

 Ringgold Elementary School North PTA recently held an Art Fair with great participation.

Students in grades Pre-K through 4th grades earned awards for overall artistic ability, best storytelling through art, outstanding builder, and most creative art piece. The take home awards were created by Dave Schmitt and PTA Art Fair Chair, Jennifer Jaki.

Students entered by grade and three different categories: craft, draw, and paint. There were over 150 entries of crafts, paintings, string art, drawings and more. Students in grades Pre-K through 4th grades earned awards for overall artistic ability, best storytelling through art, outstanding builder, and most creative art piece.

Local Graphic Designer Julianne Eisel and Kristen Cowen, Design Assistant, Brookside Lumber, donated their time to judge the entries.

Other donations included: The Pie Place, The Y, Studio Make, Children’s Museum Pittsburgh and Museum Lab, Savarino Studio Photography, Dana Monticelli, Fox in Box by Silvi, Deborah Mainwaring Studio.  The Art Show sponsors were Brookside Lumber, Lilliput Play Homes, and Eat’n Park. Special donations were created and given by two RESN staff, Ms. Rebecca Galanko, aide, and Mr. Earl Gilpin, Art Teacher.

The Art Fair took wrapped up with Parent & Awards Night on Thursday, January 30 with attendance of approximately 200!
