After reading about “The Good Ol’ Days House” invitation to make valentines for vets in The Messenger’s February issue, third grade teacher Mrs. Wendy St. Clair Parzich took action.

RESN Students make Valentines for Vets

“Third graders always love to respect and honor our nation's veterans,” she said. So her afternoon Language Arts class at Ringgold Elementary North (RESN) wrote Valentine's Day poems for local veterans. The poems and cards were forwarded by Parzich to the Good Ol’ Days House.

“The Good Ol’ Days House” is a private vacation house rental located at 914 Broad Avenue in North Belle Vernon. On February 7, they invited area residents to participate in an afternoon of fun, decorating handmade valentines for vets.
