School News

The Charthene Club met at the Charleroi Area School District’s Alumni Room. First Vice President Kathleen Umbel opened the dinner meeting.

Debbie Raicos stated the tea is at the Alumni Room on April 7 and May reciprocity will be held at a restaurant; members will be notified by the telephone committee.

Jaidyn Fronzaglio has been selected as the March Girl of the Month by the Charthene Club. The announcement was made at the March meeting. Jaidyn is a senior highest honor roll student and has been inducted into the NHS; she serves as the Senior Class President President of SADD and is captain of varsity softball. She is also a member of the History Club, Executive Committee, FBLA and many other clubs. She is now a finalist in the PA 36th Annual Homecoming Queen Selection, to be held on April 10, 2016 at the Lancaster Resort Host and Convention Center. Jaidyn is a volunteer at Mon Valley Hospital. Her plans are to attend the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Nursing for an undergraduate degree and she plans to continue on to medical school, where she would like to become a neonatologist.
