West Newton Center for Active Adults is located 103 East Main St., West Newton. For more information, call 724-872-4976. We are open daily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We offer daily cards, Wednesday bingo, free Friday bread day, pool, Wii bowling, and lunch for a donation of $2 for people over 60 and $3.33 for those under 60 (your order must be in by Tuesday each week to Lisa Marchetti, manager).

Lunch and casino - July 10 and July 20 - Come to the center and enjoy lunch at 11:30 a.m., then head off to Lady Luck Casino where $10 gets you $25 free play. This is a 20-passenger bus, so call and make your reservation at 724-872-4976.

 Lunch and a show – July 18 - Come and eat at noon then enjoy The Bellaires band with great oldies music. Cost is $5 for a ticket ahead of time and lunch donation at the center.

 Lunch and a show – August 1 - Come and eat at noon then enjoy Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton impersonators with a great show at 1 p.m. Cost is $5 for a ticket ahead of time and lunch donation at the center.

Buggy Talk Tour of Holmes County Ohio - July 13 - Take an Amish buggy ride, tour an Amish home and school, and have lunch at Der Dutchman Restaurant & Bakery.  There will be shopping in the afternoon at the Walnut Creek Flea Market, and on the way home, shop at the Walnut Creek Foods for goodies, We depart at 6:30 a.m. from WN and 6:45 a.m. from BV. Cost is $96 and includes bus, driver tip, tours, and lunch. Full payment is your reservation; cancellations are accepted only if you replace yourself. Call 724-872-4976 for more information. Gateway Clipper Cruise with Bo Wagner - August 11 - "Let’s be Frank" with buffet lunch and cruise. At 1:45 p.m. the boat will dock at the Rivers Casino for gambling with $20 free play. Depart at 6 p.m. for home.  If you do not wish to gamble, the bus will take you to the Strip District.  Your full payment of $92 is your reservation. Shaker Woods - August 13 - Depart for the festival at 8 a.m. from WN and 8:15 a.m. from BV. Juried crafts people in the woods. Eat lunch on your own. Cost is $42. Full payment is your reservation. Pirates vs. Cardinals Baseball Game w/Fireworks Night - August 18 – All-you-can-eat seats. Cost is $75.  Depart at 4:15 p.m. from WN and 4:30 p.m. from BV. Return home after the fireworks.
