The Ladies Golf Association at Youghiogheny Country Club have been busy with tournaments and events during the last few months. They recently wrapped up their 2024 season with a ‘Ryder Cup’ style event and a dinner. Five Ladies Out

Five golfers qualified for the YCC Ladies' Golf Association ‘Five Ladies Out’ event. Joanne McHolme's (at left) par sealed her victory over Joanne Nemmer during the double elimination event at Youghiogheny Country Club. Last year's winner was Maureen Fiore.

Star of The Year

The Ladies held their annual Star of the Year event. Individuals qualified by being ‘Star of the Day’ throughout the season. With a net score of 73, Penny Natale (pictured) bested Vickie McDevitt and Lynn McHolme by two strokes. Last year's winner was Diane Riley.

Hole In One!

Repeating her 2021 hole-in-one feat on hole number 13, Vickie McDevitt used her driver to ace the 131 yard hole number 16 with her Titleist pro v ball at the Youghiogheny Country Club.

Closing Day ‘Ryder Cup’ Event

The Ladies held their closing day festivities and held a modified ‘Ryder Cup’ format event. The winning team was Joanne McHolme, Diane Riley and Sandy Payne.

After dinner, Lynn McHolme presented awards to tournament winners throughout the season. Penny Natale announced the Executive Board for 2025: Lori Duncan, chairlady; Joanne Nemmer, secretary; Penny Natale, treasurer; and Lynn McHolme, director.
