Ms. Morinello will talk about heroic women of the American Revolution, as in the figure of Molly Pitcher, the legendary American patriot, who carried pitchers of water to soldiers during the Battle of Monmouth. She was a native of Pennsylvania, married a barber named William Hays and became a camp follower when he enlisted in the Continental Army. After her husband collapsed, Molly took over the operation of his canon.

This enjoyable and informative presentation will take place at Wrights United Methodist Church, located at 788 Venetia Road, in Venetia.

Tours of the Enoch Wright House are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 1 from, 6pm-8pm and Sunday, Sept 12 and 26, from 1pm-3pm.

Check out the PCHS society website; www.peterscreekhistoricalsociety.org for updates and information on the society, the Enoch Wright House and Log Cabin. The society welcomes the public and their support of historic preservation.
