The Whitehall Borough Historical Society recently hosted a program with author Tom McMillan on his book Flight 93 and also awarded their History Student of the year award. Rakshya Kafle, a senior at Baldwin High School, received the History Student of the Year Award, and received a plaque to take home.

Pastor Tim Green and his wife Jan, of Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh hosted a vibrant ‘Community Days’ event that brought together residents of West Elizabeth and neighboring communities for a day of fun and fellowship. The event featured a variety of activities, including games, face painting, and pumpkin painting, creating an engaging and family-friendly atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed a delicious spread of food, from fresh-baked goods, cookies, and brownies to hearty chicken, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to connect, celebrate, and strengthen their sense of community.
Read more...The Elizabeth Forward Marching Band won second place on Oct. 19 at the Tournament of Bands Chapter 8 Championship. The Warriors band finished with a score of 80.1, according to EFHS Band Director Jessica Sapp. It’s the first time the band, which features musicians in grades 7-12, scored in the 80th percentile since 2014.
