Guest speaker at the ceremony, Washington County Commissioner Diana Irey-Vaughan shared her commitment to helping women with children in need. "It is heartbreaking to know that there are those in our community who are without the basic necessities of life. And that heartbreak is our call to action," said Irey-Vaughn. Readers can find a complete transcript of her moving and inspiring words at www.citymission.org as she calls us all to action to help women and children in need in our community.

At City Mission, women with children can receive the full spectrum of services they need in order to build independent lives. For more information, call the Women & Children’s Shelter at 724-222-8530 ext. 214. The City Mission is located at 84 W. Wheeling Street, Washington, PA 15301.
