The proclamation coincides with the 30th anniversary of the hospital’s Charles L. and Rose Sweeney Melenyzer Pavilion and Regional Cancer Center which provides innovative and compassionate cancer care to the region.

“Our Cancer Center is on the cutting edge of treatments and therapies,” said Louis J. Panza Jr., president and CEO of the hospital. “We are second to none and what truly sets our community hospital apart from the large teaching facilities is that we have some of the most skilled medical teams in the area providing care to their family, friends and neighbors. Our staff has an emotional connection to practically everyone who comes to us for care.”

The Charles L. and Rose Sweeney Melenyzer Pavilion and Regional Cancer Center was the first center of its kind in Washington, Fayette and Greene counties. Today, it remains one of the largest cancer centers in the region. For more information about the Cancer Center, visit mvhcancercenter.com.
