The Pleasant Hills Public Library announces the following August events:

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME: Tuesdays through August 30 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Explore different themes through stories, songs, crafts, and a snack. For children ages 3 ½ to 6 years old, with or without a caregiver. No registration necessary.

SPORTACULAR STEAM: Wednesdays, through August 10 at 2 p.m. Explore elementary science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics found in the world of sports. For children entering grades 1 – 5. Please register by calling 412-655-2424 or emailing danylod@einetwork.net

TEEN TALK: Thursdays, through August 11 at 12:30 p.m. Stuff your face with delicious pizza while playing games and hanging out with friends. For teens going into grades 6 – 12. No registration necessary.

PJ FAMILY STORY TIME – GET YOUR GROOVE ON: Monday, August 1 at 7 p.m. Wiggle and dance before bed. Join us for stories, songs, games, crafts, and a delicious snack. TAIL WAGGING TUTORS: Monday, August 8 at 7 p.m. The dogs are back at the library. Trained therapy dogs will be here hoping to hear a story or two. Practice your reading skills while enjoying the company of some furry friends. For children ages 4 and up — reading ability encouraged but not required. CHILDREN’S SRC FINALE: ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, READ MAGIC SHOW: Thursday, August 11 at 2:30 p.m. Explore the magic of reading with famous magician Steve Haberman. Guaranteed to make you laugh and scream, you won’t want to miss this unique magic show. Popcorn and refreshments will be served. CHICK-FIL-A FAMILY CRAFT NIGHT: Tuesday, August 30 at 5 p.m. Stop by Chick-fil-A Restaurant on Route 51 to make a fun craft or two and enjoy a free kids 4 piece nugget or strip meal*. Drop by anytime between 5 – 7 p.m. Family program. No registration necessary. This program will take place at Chick-fil-A Restaurant located at 461 Clairton Blvd. *Free kids meal with purchase of adult combo or entrée salad.
