Peters Township Public Library announces the following August Events:

It’s a Hockey Night in Pittsburgh! - a brand new program created by Heinz History Center being offered at the Peters Township Public Library on Wednesday, August 3 from 7-8:45 p.m. Register to attend by emailing programs@ptlibrary.org or call 724-941-9430 press #1. After the program, two lucky winners will be chosen at random to win a pair of free tickets to the Heinz History Center, compliments of the Center.

7th Annual Local Foods Potluck Dinner – at the Peters Township Public Library on Friday, August 5 at 6 p.m. The free event is being hosted by the library’s GO Green Club and is open to the community. Attendees are asked to bring a potluck dish of 6-8 servings made with home grown or locally grown foods. Bring along your recipe to share with the group. Registration is required to attend the potluck dinner. Email programs@ptlibrary.org or call 724-941-9430 by Wednesday, August 3. Help Your Child Find Money for College – Tuesday, August 9 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Peters Township Public Library. Rebecca Bowman will show parents how to take advantage of opportunities to "find" money. She'll look at the significance of building a student resume and keeping records, the importance of having a disciplined plan, and the power of building a portfolio.
