Library News

Rostraver Public Library is hosting a Halloween costume exchange. Turn in your unwanted or outgrown children’s costumes in good condition for tokens any day from October 1 – 9. On Saturday, October 10 during the Fall Family Fun Day the tokens can be redeemed for costumes or portions that will fit your family now.

The Family Fun Day is on October 10, between 1 – 3 p.m. Activities include pumpkin painting, a wooly bear craft, a piñata and more. Children and their accompanying adult are welcome even if you didn’t participate in the costume exchange.

Renowned storyteller Alan Irvine will be on hand for “Thrills and Chills – Ghost Stories for Grownups” on Thursday, October 15 at 7 p.m. Not a children’s story time, the program is suitable for ‘tweens, teens and adults. Seasonal refreshments will be served. The program is hosted by the library's Friends of the Library.
Friends of the Library’s 2nd Annual Wine & Beer Tasting is slated for

Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 7 p.m. The evening includes hors d’oeuvres and samples of wines from Italy and the state of Washington plus a selection of craft beers. The cost is $30 per person with advance ticket sale only. No tickets will be sold at the door.
