Peters Township recently released the following announcements.

How to Help Your Children Pursue Their Natural Gifts

When: Sunday, April 10

Time: 1 – 2 p.m.

Presented by: Nancy Jean Morrison

Every child has special gifts that begin to emerge as early as four or five years of age, which parents and caregivers are in the unique position of observing and nourishing.  Identifying a young person’s talents can mean the difference between surviving the turbulent adolescent years or drowning in them. This presentation is designed to help parents and caregivers discover and nourish the talents of those under their care.

A Special Program with Cindy Speck -- Ventriloquist

 When: Sunday, April 10, 2016

Absolutely no musical ability is needed!  Instruments will be provided.  Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Celebrating Shakespeare

When: Saturday, April 23, 2016

 Time: 1 – 2 p.m.

Presented by: Jane Hollman

Celebrate the life and works of William Shakespeare.  On this 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, we are going to talk about his life and his work. Jane Hollman, a former high school English teacher and fervent Shakespeare fan, will provide some background of the English Renaissance and of Shakespeare’s contributions to his times.  Then she will lead us to identify Shakespeare’s relevance in our times.  In honor of Shakespeare’s birthday, we will share a birthday cake!
