The Jefferson Hills Library recently announced its May Events.
Borough to Host Annual Memorial Day Service
The Borough of Jefferson Hills will honor its fallen heroes at Memorial Day services on May 30 at 10 a.m. at the Floreffe VFD Honor Roll and Lobbs Cemetery. The public is invited to attend this 55th annual event. Guest speaker will be State Senator Guy Reschenthaler, 37th District.
Summer Recreation Program for Children Ages 5 - 12
- 9 a.m. to noon weekday mornings; $35 per child.
- Program runs weekdays from July 5 through July 29.
- Registration takes place at Jefferson Hills Library and ends May 31, 2016 or whenever the maximum number of 120 children at Gill Hall Park and 60 children at 885 Park is reached.
- 5-8 year olds will attend at Gill Hall Park
- 9-12 year olds will attend at 885 Park
Jefferson Hills Library Summer Reading Program
- Program runs from June 21 through July 28, 2016
- Tuesday mornings for pre-school children
- Thursday mornings for children kindergarten - 5th grade
- Tuesday afternoons tweens/teens 6th - 12th grade
- Signups begin on June 1 at the Library. This program is FREE for all area children.
YOGA - Beginners and Intermediate
- Wednesday evenings, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
- Tuition is $5 per session or $ 7 for both sessions in the same week.
Zumba Fitness
- Monday evenings 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Tuition is $5 per class (no class May 30).
Scrabble Club
- Meets Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m. New members are welcome.
