As part of its Memorial Day festivities, Elizabeth veterans stopped in Bunola to celebrate the birthday of Bernice Allegre, who turned 102 years old in May.

Bernice was born and has lived all of her life in Bunola. She has been friend and public servant to the community, the veterans, and the Bunola Fire Company for most of her days. A very happy 102nd birthday to Bernice!
