Any gardeners who have an abundant harvest in their backyard gardening will have a chance to sell their extra produce at the Backyard Garden Market. It will be held at the Bavarian Village Shopping Center in South Park on Mondays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 1, 8, and 15.
The only requirement is that whatever you sell has to have been grown in your own garden. You can sell out of their vehicle or provide your own table set-ups. Our hope is to be more like the old farmers' markets where you could buy one tomato or one zucchini instead of buying by the bag or box.
Customers are encouraged to bring their own bags. Sellers will be able to make extra money with their harvest. Community members will be able to buy fresh, locally grown produce. For more information or for any questions, please email backyardgardenmarket@gmail.com.
