Peters Township Park and Recreation Department is offering the following programs and summer camps at the Community Center. All classes, including youth/teen and adult programs, can be viewed at www. peterstownship.com on the Parks and Recreation web page. The Rec Center is located at 700 Meredith Drive, Venetia.
Free Summer Concert - Street Level
Join us for a concert at the Peters Township Community Recreation Center and enjoy a variety of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. Street Level is a 9 piece rock/funk machine that is sure to satisfy your musical appetite with songs like Mustang Sally, Twist and Shout, Boogie Shoes, Brown Eyed Girl, Celebration and more!

Bubble Mania Preschool Program
(AGES 3-5)
Preschoolers will play and learn all about bubbles! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required, and can be made in person at the Community Recreation Center or online at www.peterstownship.com.

Time: 10 – 11 a.m.
Fee: $5 Member / $8 Non-Member (per child)

Summer Day Camps At Peterswood Park
(AGES 6-11 YEARS)
Minimum 10-Maximum 35
Three 1-week sessions for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. Enjoy sports, crafts, hikes, music, games, special visitors/speakers and more with the Peters Township Parks & Recreation Staff! Pre-registration required at the Community Recreation Center or online www.peterstownship.com.
Days: Monday – Friday (weeks of July 11, July 18, and July 25)
Time: 9 a.m. – Noon
Fee: $55 Member / $83 Non-Member (per week)
Location: Peterswood Park, Shelter #4
Playground Pals Day Camp
(AGES 4-8 YEARS)
Minimum 10 – Maximum 35
Three 1-week sessions for children who enjoy games, sports, crafts and using their imagination. Guest speakers will be present. Provided by the Peters Township Parks & Recreation. Pre-registration required at the Community Recreation Center or online www.peterstownship.com.
Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (weeks of August 1, August 8 and August 15)
Time: 9:30 a.m. – Noon
Fee: $35 Member / $53 Non-Member (per week)
Location: Elm Grove Park
One-Day Bus Trip
Tara – A Country Inn & More
Travel to Mercer County and visit the Wendell August Forge, Tara – A Country Inn for a meal and tour of the magnificent 1854 antebellum mansion, Kraynak’s, and Daffin’s, the world’s largest candy store. Touch A Truck At Peterswood Park
Are you ready to check out some really cool trucks and equipment? Join us at this free event and get up close and personal with some of your favorite “big rigs.” Adults love this event as much as the kids. Come have fun interacting with a wide variety of trucks, construction vehicles, public safety vehicles and more! Life Flight of Allegheny County will land a helicopter on site too! Be sure to bring your cameras. Children must be accompanied by adults. (Call 724-942-5000 to register your business and participate in one of our favorite events. This is a great way to advertise your company and show off that really cool truck or piece of equipment).
