At the conclusion of the Pittsburgh Penguin’s Stanley Cup Victory Parade last month, Coach Mike Sullivan declared to over 375, 000 spectators at the celebration that Pittsburgh “….is one crazy hockey town.” But how much do we really know about the history of the sport in our area?

Find out more at 'It’s a Hockey Night in Pittsburgh!' This is a brand new program created by Heinz History Center being offered at the Peters Township Public Library on Wednesday, August 3 from 7-8:45 p.m.

Register to attend by emailing programs@ptlibrary.org or call 724-941-9430 press #1.

Guest speaker for the event will be Larry Woods, a volunteer at the Heinz History Center. At the end of the program, two persons will be chosen at random to win a pair of free tickets to the Heinz History Center, compliments of the Center.
