The Mantle House Mission and Resale Store announces the following:
The Mantle House Mission is a transitional home for homeless young woman ages 18-24. Our purpose is to house and assist young adults with independent living skills, provide them with life skills, job/education skills, community service, etc. We provide mentoring to help meet their physical, behavioral and spiritual needs. Volunteer Day at Mantle Mission – Saturday, August 13 at 9 a.m.: We welcome church groups, community organizations, and/or individuals who would like to help complete our Mission houses. Come and share in the blessing with these groups and others who are making a difference at the Mission. Lunch is provided, free of charge – rain or shine.
Mondays at Mantle – We will be holding two fall wreath-making classes - Monday, August 8 and Monday, August 15 at 6 p.m. at the Mantle House Mission Resale Store in the Community Room. Cost is $5 per person. Space is limited. You can sign up at the store, by calling 724-872-1800 or by emailing mantlehousemission@yahoo.com. Light refreshments will be provided.
Free Lunch Offered to All – Saturday, August 20, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Served at the Mantle Mission House Resale Store.
Mantle House Mission Resale and Bookstore – Summer hours of operation are: Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Browse through our six full rooms, which includes a children’s room, a bookstore, and a fully stocked garage of treasures that’s open all year round. We also accept donations of household items (we do not accept televisions) for our resale store and books in good condition for our bookstore.
Ways to Support the Mission - We are currently in need of the following to help support the Mantle Mission House: prayer partners, fundraising events, resale store volunteers, mentors, group and/or monetary donations, items for the resale store. We are also in need of donations of paper products, feminine products, garbage bags, and toiletries for our female house.
