Members of Mon Valley Quilt Club are sponsoring a “Pot Luck Quilt Show” at the Mon Valley YMCA on Friday, September 15, from 9-5 PM and Saturday, September 16, from 9-4 PM.
There will be over 100 quilts and related items on display in the Joe Montana Gymnasium. In addition, member challenge quilts will also be on display.
Quilt Club members participate in several public service programs including Project Linus quilts, donations to a women’s shelter and a scholarship for a graduating senior majoring in an art related field. This year’s scholarship winner was Laura Bussey from Bentworth High School. She will be attending California University of Pennsylvania.
Chairperson for this year’s show is Joanne Hoffman. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 6 PM. Contact Hoffman about club information at the Mon Valley YMCA, 724 483-8077.
Mon Valley YMCA is conveniently located at 101 Taylor Run Road along Route 88 between Monongahela and Charleroi.
