Smog Museum Gets Its Own Logo!

Even though Donora Historical Society and Smog Museum are in the business “old stuff,” every once in a while they get something new. That was especially true when they unveiled the new “stacks” logo for the Smog Museum.

SmogLogo June 2019
The new ‘stacks’ logo created for the Donora Smog Museum.

Point Park University student, Brianna Farrand designed the new logo, and used old photos dating back to 1915 from the Donora Zinc Works as inspiration for the logo.   The Donora Zinc Works was considered to be "ground zero" of the 1948 Smog.

This new logo can now be found on freshly minted T-shirts printed by Donora-native and business owner Armand Forlini. They hope to expand the logo onto other items in the near future.

Smog Museum T-Shirts

Proudly display your local heritage and show off the brand new Smog Museum logo with a t-shirt. Printed with black, white and orange ink, you can buy gray short-sleeve tees ($20), long-sleeve Tees ($25) and crewneck sweatshirts ($30) in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2X and 3X.

Shirts can be purchased and picked up at the Smog Museum on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Hoodies ($35) are made to order). If that isn’t convenient, call 724-823-0364 and leave a voicemail or email donorahistoricalsociety@gmail.com with your order and they can arrange your pick-up at the Donora Public Library. Shirts can also be mailed, but will require additional S&H. Quantities are limited, so please consider having your order added to a waiting list if your size/color is sold out.

Donora Dragon T-Shirts

And don’t forget, the popular Donora Dragon t-shirts are also available. Designed by Donora-natives Jesse Francis and Jared Altamare, and printed by Armand Forlini. These can be found at both the Smog Museum and the Donora Public Library. Quantities are also limited, so please consider having your order added to a waiting list if your size/color is sold out.
