The Friends of The South Park Township Library are gearing up for an exciting Community Day, “Party in the Park”, Celebration on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Friends are kicking off their 50th Anniversary yearlong celebration and are delighted to bring new activities and a special float to mark this milestone.
"We're thrilled to kick off our 50th Anniversary Year at Community Day," said Cathie Humphrey’s, Co-President of the Friends organization. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to come together, enjoy some fun activities, and celebrate our community spirit."
Parade goers are in for an unexpected surprise. Be sure to get your front seat view as the Friends unveil their one-of-a-kind float celebrating 50 years of community support and dedication to the South Park Township Library.
One of the main attractions of this year's celebration is the introduction of a 9-hole miniature golf course. Participants can test their putting skills and enjoy a friendly competition in the picturesque setting of the South Park Fairgrounds. Expert golfers who make a hole in one will be eligible to win our Grand Prize drawing.
For kids and adults with a sweet tooth, the Friends candy shoppe will offer a delicious array of nostalgic treat. Be sure to mark your calendars!
