Munchkin Mondays, Carnegie Science Center's program for early learners ages 2-6, has resumed on Mondays from 10 a.m. − 2 p.m. and will run weekly through October 27.

Free with general admission to the Science Center, Munchkin Mondays offer a variety of hands-on science activities for preschoolers, as well as time to socialize with their peers. Advanced registration is not required. Individual families, as well as daycare, preschool, and community groups, are invited to participate.

Children, with the assistance of parents or guardians, will participate in story time, make-and-takes, and planetarium and live demonstration shows.

For a few dollars more, visitors can watch Animalopolis in the Rangos Omnimax Theater, the biggest screen in Pittsburgh. The movie, sponsored locally by Clearview Federal Credit Union, caters to children ages 8 and younger. Children can get up-close with an opera-singing lion, dancing bears, meditating sea otters, and more! Seussian-style narration puts the perfect finishing touch on this magical journey into the animal kingdom.
