Stars will be out when local celebrities, hometown heroes and concerned citizens gather to raise funds to help fight child abuse on Friday, October 17 at Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe, Canonsburg.

 

The event offers food, entertainment and dancing, with all proceeds from the event going to Watchful Shepherd USA and its mission to prevent child abuse. The main event is the dancing, which features celebrities teaming up with professional dance instructors from the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Dancers are: Dr. Lori Cherup, Radiance Plastic Surgery; Scott Harper, Clearview Federal Credit Union; Detective Corine Orchowski, Allegheny County Police; Mandy Piatt, Community Representative; Valerie Gatto, Miss Pennsylvania USA; and Bill Hulin, Hulin Chiropractic.

"Dancing for a Cause" has the pizzazz of a floor show with the heart of a charity, necessary ingredients for a successful fundraiser. It's an evening full of fun!

Doors open at 6 p.m. Dinner served from 6 - 7:45 p.m., competition begins at 7:45, and dancing goes until 11 p.m. Music and entertainment are provided by DJ Jiving Johnny.

Individual tickets are $100 each and tickets at the door are $125.

There is also a need for silent auction and Chinese auction items. All donations are tax deductible.
