Please Help the Southwest VA Hospital!
The Southwest VA Hospital is in dire need of lap blankets. This is a constant, year-round, need for their residents that are in wheel chairs. Each person really needs more than one blanket. When a resident’s blanket becomes soiled, it must be removed from them to be washed. The hospital does not have enough extra blankets to replace those that that have gone to the laundry.

If you sew, knit or crochet and would like to contribute something, you can make a simple blanket that can be donated during our next event. The approximate size is 27’’x32” wide and 47”x53” long but it can be larger. No fringe - it will get caught in wheels. This is one of our ongoing projects.
